Oh my god you know … Oh my god you know algernon? Hahah that is awesome. They played in my hometown back in like 2004-2005… I was like 15 when I saw them before they were really anything. I hear now theyre on a major label??
@ASherbuck84 well … @ASherbuck84 well duh, one i’ve never heard of alexisonfire but the other two arent emo. fall out boys are idk wat they are but theyre not emo, and good charlotte,(which i do like some of theyre older stuff) is punk and thats loosly defining it. but thats not to say theyre arent good emo bands out now. theyre are you just have to know what they are. and if you dont know them then you dont need to either.
I’ve heard that the … I’ve heard that the cure are also emo band (that is obviously not true) So I dont care too much about his label stuff. SDRE sounds for me like essence of 90s. This all modern band which are called emo (or somthing, whatever) have nothing in common with this amazing band.
Oh no, I agree. … Oh no, I agree. Some of the original emo bands I actually like, the ones who acknowledged emo as a genre. But, bands like the Rites of Spring, Slimer, whatever. They weren’t emo, and I refuse to acknowledge them as such. Hence why I still like them.
@electroxjunkie … @electroxjunkie Because emo for the last decade hasn’t been fit to wipe your on.
An entire generation of kids think Alexisonfire Good Charlotte and Fall Out Boy are emo bands. They are not the model – in fact they are what to run away from.
God, I didn’t know … God, I didn’t know a misspell was such a major offense nowadays. Get over it, you twat.
On another topic; I never really understood why people say these guys are emo. They might as well say Smashing Pumpkins are emo now. Not saying they sound like SDRE. Well, maybe a little, tiny bit.
man you have a … man you have a problem, I agree with you I dont want to be part of the rest and Im not Im real different from what they now call “normal” ( yeah you will insult me)other is just wanting to do everything perfect and that evryone does what you want as you want, and I am not perfect and I am happy being me, but I do read and, investigate about stuff I like so you cant call me an illiterated moron , just because I dotn write well on the computer, I actually have been told I write good on a notebook
Of course that’s … Of course that’s what you’ve been saying all along….
If you CAN write correctly, then why not actually do it, then you will not come across as an illiterate moron… I aspire to express myself to the best of my ability, not join the masses of dumb, lazy, retards that inhabit this world.
Anyway, i’m bored of you now… So i’m off… Have a great life ‘bumming’ around…
yeah you see that’s … yeah you see that’s what I’ve beeing saying all along, only that I was talking about the “origin” of the term; and you don’t have to tell me how to properly write, I can, but I found totaly unnesesary to write apostrophe’s and all that stuff when 1) not evryone does it. And 2) anyway you can still understand it, I do know how to write, but sometimes i write “toooo” quickly and add/substrack letters to words, or mess up the proper order.
No, I mean you use … No, I mean you use words like ‘pronunciate’ which isn’t a word in proper english. You’ve written ‘to’ when you mean ‘too’. Im is an abbreviation of ‘I am’ and as such requires an apostrophe, ie. “I’m not from the US”.
Where it affects your credibilty is that if you can’t even write a coherent sentence, how valid does your information/opinion appear ?
Grunge CLEARLY was and still is a musical genre, regardless of the origin of the term.
what doe smy … what doe smy terrible writing, becaus eit isnt actually the english, has to do with my credibility, and ¬¬ you… yes it was a music gener, now mostly known as alternative, but I say that the TERM cmae from telling the seatle musiciants, that the sound they made was grunde as some kind of joke… ( I dont really know how it started but you could just look for it)
jajaja Im not mad, … jajaja Im not mad, just to make it clear, its pointles, but I think your insulting me, and I never said I was an expert… but thats true, yes grugne kida became the way of referiong to certain music gener, but all those bands were from seatle,(were the term came out) and if you chek them out, most of this bands can barly have something in common, (of course, apart from being from the same state…)
Yup I do. I liked …
Yup I do. I liked Cap’n Jazz/Kinsella brothers stuff, and my friend recommended them to me a while back.
“Some Kind of Cadwallader” is such a great album.
If you haven’t checked out Snowing, I suggest you do so now. Methuselah Rookie Card/Kirk Cameron Crowe are their best songs.
Also check out Boy Problems, Street Smart Cyclist, and Spraynard or Latterman for some good modern day emo.

Agreed. If you want some good modern emo, go check out Algernon Cadwallader or Snowing. That’s what emo SHOULD be.
