A guitar is such a magical object. It brings out our feelings and lets us express them in a way that is phenomenal.
My first was a Gibson Les Paul standard, with cherry sunburst finish and original PAF humbucker pickups. I used to play a lot of Cream and solo Eric Clapton music. This guitar sounded so great for that. I played through an old Vox AC30. All I can say is wow. The sound these two instruments made together was mindblowing. Such a warm bluesy tone that I’ve had trouble reproducing ever since.
I’ve gone through many guitars and amps since those days but by far, that combo was and still is my favorite.
