Gardening organic way to improve the soil:
A soil that is healthy and organically rich is more capable of sustaining plant growth and development than any ordinary soil. It’s been suggested that up to 90% of garden flops are the result of inferior soil.
Providing your soil with organic matter will greatly boost its quality. Mix in fallen leaves, grass cuttings or hay and place in your garden soil during fall. This will sufficiently enhance the quality of the soil. Come planting season, these components will have already disintegrated and are supplying the essential organic nutrients.
If you’re creating your own compost, combine it into soil for an added increase in quality. Compost is not just a fertilizer but a soil conditioner at the same time. Apart from putting nutrients towards the soil, it also helps to retain moisture and obtain the crumb-like structure from the soil.
